Single Leg Bench Squat

Here's a video of me doing the Single Leg Bench Squat. This is very deceptive. Give it a try and you'll see what I mean. It looks easy but it's not. Simple? Yes! Easy? Definitely not! Try it out! You can use any setup in the gym or even at home. You just need a bench or sturdy chair and something to hold on to. Here are some key points to remember:
  • Use a full range of motion - go as low as you possibly can go since all the work is done as you're coming up from the deepest position
  • Place a small weight plate under the ball of your foot
  • Push into your heel to come up
  • Think of using your glutes to power you up from the low position
  • Only use the bar for balance, not to pull you back up
  • Do as many as possible making sure to drop all the way to the bottom - when you can no longer go all the way done, that's the end of your rep range

Hope you like it! I LOVE this exercise!!!
