Blase...word of the day...NOPE! Not anymore!!

What is up with this week?!? I just feel blase!!! That's all there is too it. Can't get my mojo back, feeling defeated and deflated. Flat, flat, flat!!! I don't know what's going on but to have this week follow last week (remember, the week with boundless energy?) is just NOT okay with me. I think I just need to rest, really rest, no blogging, no phone, no internet, no TV...just chill! I don't know what's up but I gotta get right! Truly...no joke!

A couple of things I was thinking about, well missing really. And this could be adding to my mental head space right now?!? Hmmm????
1) Sleeping in on Sunday morning
2) Eating ethnic food, particularly Asian, that I didn't make
3) Fruit...FRUIT...FRUITTTTTTTT!!!!
4) Cooking when I WANT to cook
5) Eating when I WANT to eat
6) Not being on a timed schedule for every single thing - not having to wake up by a certain time so I can get my cardio in and still make it to work kind of on time, not having to finish cooking so I can eat my last meal and get to bed at a decent time, etc.
7) My friends!!!!! Really miss that!! Just hanging and doing whatever

And now for the things I'm gaining/enjoying:
1) Really improved health
2) Improved mental state
3) INCREDIBLE sense of accomplishment
4) Having goals and meeting or exceeding them
5) Finding/creating new healthier recipes
6) AMAZING fitness network through Gina's site
7) Blogging about my experience
8) Making new friends
9) Constantly learning and growing
10) Learning what these words truly mean: dedication, determination, perseverance,  focus, growth

Okay, so I see I'm gaining more than I'm missing. So glad I just wrote those down. That helps me a lot! Hmph! Good for me. See? Changing your viewpoint is a very, very good thing. Apparently I do need some time to not only relax but sit back for a minute and take some time to reflect, relish my accomplishments! I've come a long way in a short amount of time and I need to pat myself on the back and enjoy my victories and accomplishments. Ooh, look, Gina's right..."Be in control, own your attitude!" Okay, another lesson learned. Aha, I should do a list of those lessons learned throughout this process. It would be LENGTHY for sure.

Here's wishing you all a fine Friday and so glad I have this place to set things straight in my head. Thanks for reading and to those of you that comment, for commenting as well!

Hello July! WELCOME!!

Can you believe it's July? So, halfway through the year...are you doing what you set out to do at the beginning of the year or a quarter of the way through it? Are you doing what you set out to do last week? Or even on Monday of THIS week? Time moves along pretty quickly so it's important to assess and reassess where you are and where you're going.

It's interesting to me how easy life is when it's all planned out for you or should I say when you plan it out for yourself. I've never been on such a regimented schedule in my life that I remember. Well, I guess the last time would have been when I was completing my college degree. I had laser light focus on my goal of finishing school. To be honest I just wanted to get out. But with that came my highest grades of my college years. I'm not dumb by any means but I didn't do well in school because I was bored and kind of unfocused. I didn't really know what I wanted to be but I knew I was supposed to go to school. Yes, I'm glad I went and very grateful that I was able to go. But in some respects I wish I had waited to find out what I wanted to do. Of course, that might have backfired as well since I know many people that thought they knew what they wanted to do only to complete school and really dislike their field. That was not the case for me so I suppose that's good. But for the first 3 years of college I had no idea what I wanted my major to even be. So in the last 4 quarters of school I think I completed as many hours as I did in the first 9 or so! Yes, focus and planning are KEY to life. That is what it is all about.

I've definitely learned through this journey that preparation is KEY!! I would not be able to stick to the plan like I have if I weren't constantly prepared. Yes, it means less of a social life for me but prepping many of my meals on Sunday makes the week so much easier. The more you can cook in advance the better. So having freezable meals is very important. If I cook pork tenderloin or even make meatloaf or my Thai Basil Chicken. Whatever it is I usually make big batches and then I have them to eat whenever. I freeze a lot of my cooked protein. The only thing I don't freeze is my cooked fish, just too weird texture for me once it's been frozen.

I'm off to a great start for this month. I've been on plan every day since I started except ONE!! Wow! I just thought about that. That means I've eaten to plan and completed all my workouts to plan for 37 out of 38 days. Well, that IS an accomplishment, isn't it? So proud of myself. Like I've said before I have always had a hard time setting goals and an even harder time reaching them. In this process I set a new goal each week and hit it! That's impressive to me. It just shows me how much I can accomplish if I really put my mind to something. I love this process for learning a lot about myself and those around me. It's been a great journey so far. I'm only 10 weeks and 1 day away now...WWWAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!

Today was my leg workout! That's one hard workout and I'm always wiped out after. I guess it's because your leg muscles are your biggest muscles and therefore using the most energy. But yes, always wiped out. I'm going to sign off here in a sec, make my chocolate protein cake which you must try if you haven't!!! and head to bed. Oh, and I need to drink some more water!! Oh, and I need to practice posing!!

Have a wonderful night and here comes the weekend...get excited...it's almost here!

Good Morning Everyone! Watch out...I'm on FIRE!!

Up and at 'em this morning, to the gym for my 35 minutes on the stepmill. Back home, laundry in, meal 1...DONE! More laundry, meal 2...DONE! Laundry completed! I'm just getting ready to head out to the track for my workout and then I'm home for meal 3. That's the way it goes for me. I have to vacuum, dust, clean the bathroom and scrub the kitchen sink and then I'm done. It will be nap time and rest for this little girl until I hit it hard again on Monday. Okay...off to the track!

Very Accomplished Day!

Last night before I put my head to my pillow I pondered not getting up to workout so I could accomplish more today and guess what? That's just what I did. I slept in till about 7 or so but didn't get up till 8am! Very nice! Then I ate (OF COURSE!!!) and then it was off to the laundry room for Laundry Battle Sunday...a new contestant every week! LOL! After today's excellent battle I have made the decision that Sunday isn't going to be my laundry day anymore. It causes me way to much grief!!

I did tons of laundry today and then cleaned the dickens out of my house! So finally I get to go to sleep tonight with a very clean home as well as head! And tomorrow it's back to the usual grind. I won't be doing AM cardio since I need to make some protein muffins or my week will just not work out well. Those are my little "treat" to get me through each week. If you haven't tried my protein muffins and would like to, you just let me know and I'll do my best to make and send you some. You'll see what I mean. They're DELICIOUS!!!

I went out for dinner and enjoyed it immensely. It was my "refuel" meal so I really ate what I wanted although I have to say it wasn't really all that bad what I ate. Just the basket of fries!!! You know me and my fries...I've GOT to have them! I also ate some Lemon Chicken with a great creamy lemon herb sauce. Very tasty. Good food and good company. Came home and finished the last of my cleaning.

One more protein shake with some flax seed oil and then I'm toddling off to bed! Until tomorrow then!!!
