Lower Body Day! Yeah! This day is over!

Today was a CRAZY day at work, just nuts! It was like a 3-ring circus. Really ridiculous! We have tandem parking and it seemed like the cars were getting moved around every hour or so today! And that was just in the parking lot! Inside the office was even crazier for some reason. Thursdays are kind of crazy days in that office. Weird energy.

So based on all that I was struggling to get to the gym in a good frame of mind. When I finally arrived at the gym, a little late at that, I took a few deep breaths and really tried to talk myself into a good workout. I still wasn't really feeling it. But I went in anyway knowing that I had a challenging workout in front of me. I warmed up and then was kind of getting into it. Then I started doing my weights and guess what? I had a REALLY GREAT workout! So surprising! Actually I've noticed that the harder I have to push myself to get my workout done, the better my workout is. I don't know if it's that I have to focus so hard to stay on track and get it done or that I have to corral every single last piece of energy but whatever it is, it seems to help.

Meals today:
1) Grapenuts with "protein powder milk"
2) Oatmeal with yogurt, cinnamon, and strawberries - yummy! Looks like goulash but tastes great! I'll take a picture next time I make it!
3) Chinese broccoli with chicken and brown rice
4) Chicken cheese quesadilla - made with this Almond cheese from Whole Foods!! 2 Ezekiel tortillas, shredded chicken, grated almond cheese (pepper jack). Just cooked in a pan sprayed with non-stick spray. It was DELISH!!
5) Oatmeal with protein powder
6) Salad with egg and pork scramble on top
Dressing: 1 t chili garlic sauce, 2 t yuzu rice vinegar, 2 drops stevia, pinch of dry mustard, water - fat free and DELICIOUS! Spicy! Just the way I like it! Yum!
7) Hmmmm...protein tea?

Lower Body Workout consisted of the following exercises but I'm too tired to write specifics!
Leg extensions, jump squat, lying hamstring curl, walking lunges, straightleg deadlift, seated calf raise, donkey calf raise, more jump squats, more leg extensions, bench step ups! Whew!

That's about it for me tonight. Going to get to bed pretty soon here because I'm pretty beat and tomorrow morning I have a date with the stepmill! Woohoo!
